• Determine how much home you can afford:

Before you begin searching for houses, it is smart to figure out what your payments will be for certain price points so we are not searching for homes out of our budget or we cannot afford. By taking the time to assess your budget you will not have any hidden surprises that leave you house poor.

• Hire an agent you can trust:

Selecting the right realtor, I believe, is crucial for a smooth and successful home buying experience. There are a lot of issues that can arise when buying a home. Please consider hiring me or someone to look after only your interests. A lot of the time , the buyer's agent is paid by the seller.

• Get preapproved for a mortgage:

To make an offer on a property, if we are not paying cash, we will need a preapproval letter from a trusted lender to verify your ability to obtain financing. Once we determine how much home you can afford, I can begin to put together properties I think fit your criteria. There is nothing worse than seeing a house you love and then finding out later you can’t afford to buy it. Knowing your budget is vital!
